Paul V. Tomasic, MD, MS, FACP, FACE
Dr. Paul Tomasic is the Medical Director of Endocrinology & Primary Care Services. He is a native southern Californian who moved to Las Vegas in 2005 after completing a career in the United States Navy at the rank of Captain, Medical Corps. Dr. Tomasic graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, cum laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Naval Hospital, San Diego. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He earned a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Bowie State University where he also became a certified Information System Analyst. He has earned a professional certificate in Business Management from UCSD Extension.
Dr. Tomasic’s professional memberships include the American Medical Association, Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), and the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He is a Past President of the Nevada Chapter of HIMSS. He is currently President of the Nevada Chapter of AACE. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism.
Dr. Tomasic has received “Top Doc” in Endocrinology honors from Vegas Seven magazine in both 2014 and 2015. He lectures and serves as moderator at educational events throughout the state of Nevada for both the Nevada Chapter of AACE and the Nevada Chapter of HIMSS. He has been featured on local television and radio on the topics of electronic medical records, diabetes, and osteoporosis. His clinical practice focuses on the care of diabetes, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.
Alissa Dougherty shares her passion for a healthy lifestyle by encouraging people of all ages to observe within and regain their life. Before moving to Las Vegas in 2016, Alissa worked at the University of Chicago where she helped patients with diabetes and weight management issues regain their health through meal planning, physical activity, and medication management. Alissa works with patients to find balance through healthy lifestyle changes, taking into consideration their sometimes hectic schedules.
Alissa is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and played for the women’s soccer team. She continued her education at Benedictine University in Illinois where she completed her Dietetic Internship and received her Masters of Science Nutrition and Wellness. Alissa is currently working towards obtaining her CDE.
